We have always been fascinated by the lightness and antigravity of Gaudi's arches.
Our aim was to gain a space, where roof, walls and support construction would work as one. By creating a bamboo framework the conic supporting structure was developed. The bottom part of the reversed cone has the role of a column, becoming a focal point of socializing. It also brings a certain order to the space. We would like to see people hang around this spot leaning back and talking together.
Rain water runs down on the surface of the conic cylinders through the concrete foundation diverted under the ground. We imagine that staying under the shelter during the rain listening to the dripping sounds and seeing the water running on the surface modulating the light can help to achieve a unique experience.
The whole structure is mainly lit from the ground level - lighting is placed on the concrete base directed upwards so that the cones themselves serve as a source of light.
