Renovation of the Slovenian National Theater
The addition of an experimental stage is developed as an “immediate theater” that reaches outside of the walls. The art is exposed to the by-passers, adding an extra layer of a dialogue to Ljubljana's street life. The arcade facade celebrates this interaction of the inside – outside theme of the architecture. The main stage, on the contrary, requests its own cocoon, where the world of classical theater is undisturbed by the rush of the city.
