Technical warehouse and office wing in collaboration with Julián Keppl
The triangular site is cut through by subterranean creek, high pressure gas piping, and both under- and above-the ground electrical conduit. Furthermore high underground water levels makes it swampy, challenging the foundation of the building.
The building is T shaped with the storage hall attached to the existing warehouse building and the transept forming an extension of the neighboring street. The corridor in the transept ends on the both sides with structural glazing. This opens a visual connection with the street and family houses. In order to scale down the building volume, the main storage hall is framed by the lower wings. The warehouse thus lands softer in this family residential area.
