This house inspired by the bungalow tradition is a response to the issues of the urban sprawl’s high energy consumption and large space requirements. Its spatial concept is compact but generous; it even allows residents to enjoy high ceiling of the living room. Almost every part of the house including the bath tub has an optical contact with the fireplace located in the middle of the plan. This helps to achieve maximum additional heating effect. Lifted ceiling serves as a chimney to enhance natural ventilation with doors and windows opened in summer. No air conditioning is necessary. The walls of the living room are sliding allowing the exterior float into the house. We put a stress on a neutral outdoor look as the house was designed without any particular site. It is supposed to fit into open landscape as well as become a part of the global village.
